Today's birth mother deserves the highest respect.  Faced with an unplanned or untimely pregnancy, she has difficult choices to make.  Her decisions are made with love, and in the best interests of herself and her child. 

From this perspective, a birth mother's decision to make an adoption plan must be viewed as courageous.

It is important to consider the birth father.  A birth father has similar rights as the birth mother.  He too may be faced with difficult choices. 

All parties to an adoption are important and birth fathers should be educated about adoption before making any decisions.
